Who is Lama Tsomo?

Lama Tsomo is a Tibetan Buddhist lama and a student of Tulku Sangak Rinpoche, the spiritual leader of the Namchak lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. She currently teaches the practices and insights of the Namchak lineage and is leading the Namchak Foundation in its work to create the Namchak Retreat Ranch in Montana.

In this video set in Montana, Lama Tsomo, born Linda Pritzker, shares her personal story, describes the spiritual path that led her to her teacher and enhanced her personal sense of happiness, and discusses her decision to become an inspired practitioner and teacher of Tibetan Buddhism.

Lama Tsomo was ordained a Buddhist lama in February 2005 by Tulku Sangak Rinpoche, a Tibetan meditation master and world holder of the Namchak lineage, a branch of the Nyingma path of Tibetan Buddhism. Lama Tsomo began studying with Rinpoche in 1995 and she is fluent in Tibetan. She is also the author of The Princess Who Wept Pearls: The Feminine Journey in Fairy Tales (1998), under her legal name, Linda Pritzker. As Lama Tsomo she has written Why is the Dalai Lama Always Smiling? (scheduled for release fall 2015).
